One of the most enjoyable of all Jewish traditions is the bar and bat mitzvah of a young person who is being recognized as a contributing member of the community; an adult in spiritual and community matters. This young lady has a family who is committed to teaching her the ways of the Lord and she is committed to learning from the many rich traditions and Biblical mandates of her forefathers. All are welcome to celebrate with us as Yovelle reads her portion from a Torah scroll that predates the Holocaust. There will be oneg (refreshments) after the service. Let's hope Yovelle doesn't read from the Torah with cotton candy fingers! This could get messy! LOL!
